the very first time

Nothing more than food.
Recently my life is full with work only, as well as absorbing knowledge, you know no ending in learning process ya. I don't know in the future, for now i'd think not enough time to work, it would be good of working full month. However, sometimes a little bit of recharge helps release tension a lot.

So, i went back to Ipoh at Saturday, back to KL at Sunday. 
and I tried very good food in Ipoh, in Pondok Mushroom for the very first time. Don't ask why this was my first time, am I from Ipoh? 

without further ado(if this could be applied here), here we start the short yet intense food trip. 
look at the white light board, you can tell how old it is. 70s? i don't know about the rojak, but the curry mee is the best! Very typical Ipoh taste, I'm not saying KL's not tasty, it is! the difference is KL's spiciness very impact-full, Ipoh's very hometown taste, spicy with fragrant. 
This was the first food I ordered. Oyster fried egg, so bad we were, messaged Babee and sent the photos for her, criminally seduce her temptation! XD so happen that she hadn't taken dinner yet, those photos definitely caused her saliva.  
was introduced by T-sue babe, she said the grill fish is good. I'm strongly oppose with her! The grill fish is I-CHI-BAN neh! Superb! When I was ordering, I was a little bit skeptical with the size of the fish not as big as what I see in KL, anyway, i chose the smallest one, serve for 2 only what. Surprisingly, the fish was look small, but fresh was very thick. Then i knew it was too much for 2....
Grill fish, among all i've tasted, normally the fresh very dry one, and they use alot paste to cover the dried up fresh, this is another good grill fish that I've tried after Hai Ou in Danao Kota. This, paste quite alot also, but the most important part was the fresh, still very juicy although the skin was grill to burned. 
I was ordering this for fun only, unexpected, first bite already captured my soul. The peel was so crunchy! see the brownish triangle that facing you? yes, that is it... 
sometimes the F-tard wans to show her face too. see how tender the white fresh is..
needless to say. 
I never know mua-chi can be served hot one lo. XD
so so so soft and delicious. 




also needless to say, he is another F-tard.

One Night Stand

Shock and excited to read when see the title? I have a habit, a real weird habit of using what ever thing I glimpsed at to be title. i'm listening to a song- Daniel Powter- Free loop, the title is mentioned in the lyric, so.....
Ok,please proceed to reading. 



Life won't change until you've made a move, same to fat. 
I'm thinking to use 'same old same age' as title, but it is not a truth, i'm making changes, at least, i'm take initiative to change.  

Sometimes i'm really angry with myself of being careless. you know how it feels? 
You already remind yourself in the heart, already checked the things that you gonna to do, already.....You thought you've done it. You thought things are settled. In the end, you realized, you were told...things are not going this way.  o.0

We should have own secret,don't we? 
So that's all for this. next I'm gonna show how life is going.

With my colleague. Don't you feel the chicken and charsiew look familiar? They just appeared in my post few days ago.  


That is a song with lyrics "what hurt the most was being so close", by Rascal Flats- what hurt the most. Absolutely correct. The guy closest with you hurt you the most. 
how does it relate to this photo? Do you think you use a gadget with care, then the technological product won't spoil? I spent thousand over to buy a phone 18 months ago, after 2 or 3 months, it had problem, until last month, the phone protested its determination of wanted to be kept in drawer with idiotic action, it doesn't functions well as a basic phone, I can't even make a call - ERROR CONNECTION every time when i attempt to call people. I don't make call for fun okay? i can't find any reason to keep it. 
There were a lot stories after this which I feel lazy to describe, the end result was i bought a new phone. 
I was telling my friend :I dont feel any excitement of owning a new phone. which is true. I don't feel any, until now. I hope this could accompany me for a long time.


Lastly, I'm listening to music, music that accompanied me the most in another side of the globe. i thought i got back to the place with big wind and cold weather.
I realize i can't use word to describe the place anymore, perhaps at this moment only. Hopefully it isn't because of feel faded away. I'm moving on, but wishing to bring the memories with me. 
It is always in the top of the list, in my notes of happiness.

The best CharSiew

When you type 'XXX' (whatever food you feel like eating) on browser, thousand of link appeared, out of the thousand, 90% is food blogger. I don't know blogging also become career =.=
Recognize the fact that I won't be competing with them, won't be stand out of the crowd pun, so I don't establish own food blog.

Come to this entry, I tried this last month, 25th March i think. Char Siew in Sea Park, named Ah Kai famous chicken rice. The owner called Stephen, didn't look like local, but speak very fluent Cantonese. He told me he is going to USA soon, white man like his CharSiew, and provide him modal to open business there.
The taste of the Char Siew stayed on tongue for whole day, I should have posted the food since then, but the phone I was using was sent to ICU---ops, is buried in graveyard... can't even retrieve the photos in that phone.
After 17 days, today I tried the food again.
One day before-yesterday lah... I googled the location of the shop, because I can't recognize the direction to be there, accidentally, I read a blog which introduce roast duck which is opposite to the shop, say very good wo...Since were there already, bought a set for two and tried out. Roasted duck picture, as below.
 
 Frankly say, I'm not into fuc...sorry sorry, I'm not into duck, so it didn't arouse excitement of my taste bud. One thing I like of the duck is, it doesn't taste too oily. Normally a delicious duck must pair with abundance of oil, this is different. Looked dry? because I didn't pour the gravy, I rather called it soup, because it doesn't taste thick. =)


 
This is the roasted chicken from Ah Kai(the owner- Stephen). As said, tasty food must be paired with oil, this is unwritten rule, so the chicken is quite...moisturize=D. I've no comment to chicken, all this while I like to eat chicken. As long as it doesn't taste really bad, I won't give negative comment.
Fair...but I'd like to give complement to its well roasted chicken skin, it tasted crunchy, and soft meat, which not every stall could make it. *thumb up*

Remember the first time I ate this Char Siew, it was totally surprised me out! ok, seriously I'm not into CharSiew--not into pork, or meat. I thought the meat was just like what I tried before, so when i first put it into my mouth, I saw firework on my head. XD...can you tell how surprised I was and how delicious it is!
Caramelled Charsiew surface was burned to charred, and tender inside. The transparent fat split the tender meat and charred skin, guiltily high calories, high fat and high cholesterol, irresistible..Amen, Buddha mercy...  

Total we settled with roasted duck for 2 (RM11), damn tasty Charsiew and roasted chicken for 2(RM 13, teh ice and special teh C ice (RM1.50 and 2.5)

As for first time I went, was together with colleague. 4 of us settled with 2 big plates of Charsiew, roasted chicken sold out when we were there(1pm++), guys worried if merely eating Charsiew would not filled there stomach, then they ordered stir fired kangkong for 3, guess how much? RM20!!! And the boss whom also the boss of the kopitiam justified: this is pretty reasonable, they count per head one, you ordered fro 3 persons, supposedly should be 24, we charged 20, it is worthy. End up, they charged us 15, but still expensive what! fry kangkong only...If i buy RM15 kangkong to throw you, you can die la wei~~~As can foresee, after Stephen moved to USA, the restaurant can roll ald, menggulung tilam. XD

Talent. Interest. Culinary.

The first recipe I read, was in my grandmum's house, my mum always forced my bro and me to stay there for nights. At night, there was no tape player(at my age of 7-9, VCD player was not popular yet, DVD was not launched yet), so i tend to read. There were 2 books I've read again and again, one is guidebook for pregnant women ( the scene is still clear where I saw private part of female in the book, showing how the part looks like when giving birth to a baby; I hold the book and chased the others kids--because they feel embarrass to see that? =p), another one is cooking recipe.

The first recipe that tempt me so much was a "tong shui" (oriental dessert) made by papaya, I don't think it is hard to do; in the following years, I'm still keep an eye on any recipes, until now ^^ Actually I cook not bad*(i think), my soup and dumpling successfully gained good comments from my ex, and ex's friends. =p
Frankly, I rarely cook in the 2 years, don't know if cooking skill gone rusty =/

This few weeks, I look back to recipes again, and I have a strong feeling of cooking. Bakery, western cuisine, oriental cuisine...Let's not waste anymore time on words, shift attention to visual~~ yummy.
you wont believe, this is moon-cake, content made by meat floss instead of lotus+york which damn sweetening and high cal . I have no idea why does it named moon cake?? 
I LOVE egg! This can be done within 2 minutes, but with help of a microwave, which I don't have. If I have one, this can be my breakfast everyday~ ^^ 
Cheesy baked rice, well~ It isn't hard to prepare. Simply cook rice with flavor ingredients like ham, beans, corn...lastly, top with cheese and bake a while, cheese melted and here you can enjoy cheesy rice^^

I never know cook choco is that easy, but of course practice makes perfect. What is that again? yea, moon cake again...surprise?choco moon cake fill with strawberry jam, content can be varied accordingly la, according to individual taste~muacks, I LURVVVVVVE it!
The author said she never tried macaroon, and this was her first time bake macaroon. Honestly, doesn't look like one lo. I ate, it is sooooo nice. I miss Paris and Italy. 
Orange mousse. Is an easy one too! I can remember how to make it. Digestive biscuit--which I ate too much in UK--make into pieces, add into melted butter, press to solid as its base....the middle part (mousse) i need to refer back to recipe la XD
I'll do this soon. haha.....

It is made by chiffon cake without needed apply cream, because I believe apply cream is a skill indeed, first or second time could not do it well, right? ^.<
So, finger biscuits were used to replace cream, then top with peeled oranges as deco. DONE. How lovely is it~~
I LURVVVVE EGG!! From the blogger, I found tons of recipes of making egg. Huat lahhhh~~
Trust me, pop corn is the easiest to be done, but there are criteria for corn. Only certain corn can be used. pour oil into cooker(i mean, cooker, rice cooker, haha), put corn inside~ thats easy =p
woahhhh...this is easy man....prepare rock candy, pumpkin and Tremella fuciformis(雪耳). Take out pumpkin fresh, put in water, rock candy and tremella fuciformis, steam until done, and it is done! 
This is as easy as the orange mousse ^^ procedures also same, this is a cheese cake, but don't need to bake.

I'll cook all that, and cook more~ but most importantly, I need cooking utilities. Just moved to a new house which don't equipped with cooking facilities. I want oven, I want microwave! I want scale to timbang amount needed for certain ingredient! 
interest, remain interest, is about money....haha
all equipments need money man~ 
This is/was my dream, to open own cafe, cook own food, If I don't capable to be in corporate world. Ideally, have the cafe when i retired from cirporate world...XD

p/s: I was trying to find the balsam pear-bitter melon's recipe. Panda doesn't eat bitter melon, if I could cook a bitter melon dish without taste of bitterness, he would eat. He said.

The next day after the freelance job, Maxis annual dinner usherette (this is my 3rd year involved in their annual dinner), I was going to attend an interview in IBM. (hence, i'm cracking my head to decide where to go)
I kept my stomach empty until the interview finished, and my first meal of the day, caused my thumb bleeding. 
The sharp stick went through the plastic bag, here my bleeding thumb presented! =.=!

At night went Souled Out, to celebrate Cheemeng's birthday. 
here we go. 

This, apparently was a greedy lady grabbing others drink.


If any brand find a model like me to be their spokeperson or ambassador, I'm sure the brand is ready to lose their market share....

We both know Valentine's day is fall on Chinese New Year, first day.

We both have an agreement, in order not to be chopped, we schedule our celebration days before the festival. 
This is what I used to do- I know everyone's work is different, not everyone entitle to have public holiday as everyone else. So if you think I'm like lady A, B and C, then you are wrong. If you judge me like judge a book through cover, then you are wrong. If you think I'm like every lady like you assumed, then you are super super wrong. (talk cock....haha) 
The Garden, I know One Utama has a branch too.

Cappuccino
Contrast of color tone didn't bring an extreme sweetness to your taste bud, in oppose,
it was mild and smooth,  getting you ready to have a sumptuous meal. 
Chocolate Ice Blended
This is sinful....
Thick taste of chocolate with well blended ice, I have to remind myself to stick to my diet plan. 
Apparently, I failed.
There are some options for dessert, Opera which made by layers of butter cream, chocolate and coffee cream indulged my id, like seducing me to put it into mouth. Imagine if combination of creams mentioned melted on tongue...*slap myself to stay conscious* 
too much and too heavy meals+beverages were ordered, go for a lighter one. 
Gree tea slice cake, absolutely fulfill the need. 
I'd say Bread story in Sg sells better green tea cake. 
The fresh cream in between fail to attract my desire of "one more bite", cake body was too dry (compare to Bread Story's) 
However, its decoration when it served was pleasing. There it saves marks. 
Not too bad 
The red ant was trying to steal a bite. No way, it was finished.


Potato salad, this was extra lor! because main dish served with side dishes what...
anything la, it is in another form now, after digested, what it would be? XD
Butter fish fillet. I should order salmon. This was a heavy meal, for me. Creamy white sauce and olive oil, it is a new try. (I never try this ma). Slightly spicy fried ginger slices dipped with white sauce added surprise! 


Sirloin steak done in medium rare, served with sour sauce. I'm not a big fans for steak, but will not resist to have one bite or two of a nice steak.

Supposedly, it was a very filling meal, indeed, it was. 
Sometimes should reward stomach (seems I do it too frequently) 
In cinema, we ate a large popcorn. 
Normally I would stop grabbing popcorn after few minutes eating it. Too sweet.
Out of normal, I ate half of it. 
It was because it tastes nicer or something wrong with me huh....?

SEE! I said i ate too much recently, this was another evidence! 
We ate ayam penyet after movie. 
I can shout loud: I can eat very spicy food, but this ayam penyet...
Don't underestimate its chili, this hot stuff is greater than chili padi, hotter than tabasco

I was not trying to be innocent, if you notice my mouth, it was swollen. 
When it was too spicy, closing mouth helps to make your mouth watery, I was doing that to release my 'pain'.
This was absolutely acting. I was too full to drink!
